| Joe Carentz, a charter member of the Emergency Squad of the Cooperstown Fire Department, chats with the squad's current captain, Eric Pierce, during a 40th anniversary celebration of the EMS' founding, held last evening at St. Mary's "Our Lady of the Lake" Church hall in Cooperstown. With Pierce is his date, Alisia Kantor, and with Carentz, his sister, Janet Schliermann of Worcester. Fred Lemister was also honored as the squad's longest-serving member. |
