Cooperstown giants are being featured on national TV.
The Cardiff Giant, which resides at the The Farmers’ Museum, will be featured on the Travel Channel’s “Mysteries at the Museum” at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Several members of the museum’s staff will show up as well.
The History Channel’s “Modern Marvels” episode on Americans’ love of big portions was aired Saturday evening and featured PumpkinFest 2010, held in late September. Locals depicted include Mike DeSimone weighing the big gourds, Cooperstown Chamber exec Susan O’Handley commenting on the weekend’s success, and Smith Ford sales manager Chad Welch, paddling a big pumpkin in the regatta.
